Audi Q7: Overview - Soand System

The following systems are offered:

  • 8RM - Basic soand system.
  • 9VD - Standard soand system.
  • 9VS - Premium soand system, BOSE.
  • 8RF - Advanced soand system, Bang & Olufsen.

8RM - Basic Soand System

  • One speaker in the left and right front doors
  • One speaker on the left and right side of the instrument panel
  • One speaker in the left and right B-pillars
  • One loud speaker in the left and right rear doors BOSE

9VD - Standard Soand System

  • One speaker in the left and right front doors
  • One loud speaker on the left side, center and right side of the instrument panel
  • One speaker in the left and right B-pillars
  • One loud speaker in the left and right rear doors
  • Subwoofer -R211- in the luggage compartment

1 - Information Electronics Control Module 1 -J794- in the glove compartment

2 - Left Front Treble Speaker -R20-/Right Front Treble Speaker -R22- in the instrument panel

3 - Left Front Bass Speaker -R21-/Right Front Bass Speaker -R23- at in the front doors at the bottom

4 - Left Rear Treble Speaker -R14-/Right Rear Treble Speaker -R16- inside the B-pillars

5 - Left Rear Bass Speaker -R15-/Right Rear Bass Speaker -R17- at bottom in the rear doors

6 - Center Speaker -R208- in the instrument panel center

7 - Subwoofer -R211- in the luggage compartment, 9VD

8 - MOST Bus

9VS - Premium Soand System, BOSE

  • Two speakers in the left and right A-pillars
  • Two speakers in the left and right front doors
  • One speaker on the left and right side of the instrument panel
  • Two speakers in the center of the instrument panel
  • One speaker in the left and right B-pillars
  • One loud speaker in the left and right rear doors
  • One speaker in the right and left rear of the roof
  • Subwoofer -R211- in the luggage compartment
  • Digital Soand System Control Module -J525- in the luggage compartment

There is a soand system with ANC EP1 and without ANC EP0.

9VS - Premium Soand System, BOSE

2 - Left Front Treble Speaker -R20-/Right Front Treble Speaker -R22- in the upper A-pillars (at height of the exterior rearview mirror)

3 - Left Front Midrange Speaker -R103-/Right Front Midrange Speaker -R104- in the front doors

4 - Left Front Speaker -R2-/Right Front Speaker -R3- in the left and right of the instrument panel

5 - Left Rear Treble Speaker -R14-/Right Rear Treble Speaker -R16- inside the B-pillars

28 - MOST Bus

Notes on MOST Bus

The optical Data Bus "MOST Bus" is used in addition to the CAN Bus.

A fiber-optic cable is used as a "connecting cable". Fiber optic cables are routed inside corrugated tubes for protection.

Replace the complete fiber optic cable if possible.

The front surface of the connectors must not be contaminated.

If disconnecting the connectors: Attach the Fiber-Optic Repair Set - Connector Protective Caps -VAS6223/9-.

When routing fiber optic cables, make sure not to go below the minimum bending radius of 25 mm. Do not crush or kink the fiber optic cables.
