Audi Q7: Seat Frame Tunnel-Side Trim Panel, Removing and Installing, Third Row
Removing
- Remove the third row cushion. Refer to → Chapter "Cover and Cushion, Removing and Installing, Third Row Seat Pan".
- Remove the expanding clips -2 and 3-, and disengage the upper trim panel -1- the seat frame -arrow-.
- Disengage the lower trim panel on the seat belt latch and remove it.
Installing
Install in reverse order of removal.
Installation notes, for example tightening specifications, replacing components. Refer to → Chapter "Overview - Rear Seat Backrest, Third Row Backrest".
Seat Frame Trim Panel on Side Sill Side, Removing and Installing, Third Row
Removing
- Remove the third row cushion. Refer to → Chapter "Cover and Cushion, Removing and Installing, Third Row Seat Pan".
- Remove the luggage compartment floor support. Refer to → Chapter "Luggage Compartment Support, Removing and Installing".
- Open and fold up the tab -2- using a screwdriver -arrow-.
- Remove the trim panel -1- from the seat frame -arrows- by disengaging the catches -3-.
Installing
Install in reverse order of removal.

Backrest Adjustment Motor, Removing and Installing, Third Row
Caution
This procedure contains mandatory replaceable parts. Refer to component overview prior to starting procedure.
Mandatory Replacement Parts
- Bolt - Left Third Row Seat Backrest Adjustment Motor to Backrest Frame
Removing
- Remove the third row seat. Refer to → Chapter "Third Row Seat, Removing and Installing".
- If the backrest is folded in, connect the backrest adjustment motor to an external power source and fold the backrest upright. Refer to → Wiring diagrams, Troubleshooting & Component locations.
- Remove cover and cushion. Refer to → Chapter "Cover and Cushion, Removing and Installing, Third Row Backrest".
- Press the release and disconnect the connector -2-.
- Remove the bolts -3-.
- Pull the backrest adjustment motor -1- off the backrest frame -arrow- and remove it.
Installing
Install in reverse order of removal.

Backrest Adjustment Locking Latch Motor, Removing and Installing, Third Row
Removing
- Remove the third row seat. Refer to → Chapter "Third Row Seat, Removing and Installing".
- If the backrest is folded in, connect the backrest adjustment motor to an external power source and fold the backrest upright. Refer to → Wiring diagrams, Troubleshooting & Component locations.
- Remove cover and cushion. Refer to → Chapter "Cover and Cushion, Removing and Installing, Third Row Backrest".
- Unclip the guide -1- from the backrest adjustment locking latch motor -arrow-.
- Press the release and disconnect the connector -2-.
- Remove the nuts -4-.
- Remove the backrest adjustment locking latch motor -5- with the bracket -3- from the backrest frame.
Installing
Install in reverse order of removal.

Backrest Adjustment Stop Switch, Removing and Installing, Third Row

Removing
- Remove the third row seat. Refer to → Chapter "Third Row Seat, Removing and Installing".
- If the backrest is folded in, connect the backrest adjustment motor to an external power source and fold the backrest upright. Refer to → Wiring diagrams, Troubleshooting & Component locations.
- Remove cover and cushion. Refer to → Chapter "Cover and Cushion, Removing and Installing, Third Row Backrest".
- Stop switch on side sill side: remove the backrest adjustment motor. Refer to → Chapter "Backrest Adjustment Motor, Removing and Installing, Third Row".
- Press the release to disconnect the connector -1- and free it up.
- Remove the cable bracket -2-.
WARNING
Risk of eye injury.
Wear protective eyewear!
- Drill out the rivet -arrow-.
- Remove the backrest adjustment stop switch -3- from the backrest frame.
Installing
Install in reverse order of removal.

Seat Adjustment Control Module, Removing and Installing, Third Row
Removing
- Switch off the ignition.
- Remove the right luggage compartment floor support. Refer to → Chapter "Luggage Compartment Support, Removing and Installing".
- Remove the nuts -arrows-.
- Disengage the bracket -1- with the control module and free up the wiring harness.
- Open the tabs in direction of -arrows-.
- Remove the control module -1- from the bracket -2-.
- Release the connector safety catch and disconnect the connectors -3-.
Installing
- If the third row control module was replaced, the sequence must be followed when connecting the connectors.
- First connect the connector -5- (coding connector), then connect the other connectors -1 to 4-.
Further installation is the reverse order of removal.

Backrest Hinge Cover, Removing and Installing
Special tools and workshop equipment required
- Pry Lever -80-200-
Second Row Seat, Removing
- Fold the seat forward.
- Unclip the backrest hinge cover -1- at the position shown in the image using the -80-200- in direction of -arrow A- and remove downward in direction of -arrow B-.
Third Row Seat, Removing
- Fold the seat forward.
- Place the -80-200- on the cover and pry it off in direction of -arrows-.
Installing
Install in reverse order of removal.
